Cinco de Mayo 2 years ago, just happened to be on a Friday.

On this particular Friday a friend of mine, Ashley, invited me to a club. Everyone had talked about this club and I was excited to finally go.

We got there early so Ashley started introducing me around. This guy randomly comes up to me and says "Hey what's up Courtnie?" I replied "Nothing, who are you?" (He wasn't one of the people Ashley was introducing me to, so I was kind of creeped out) He said "You don't remember me?" and proceeded to try and get me to guess his name. He said
"My names the same as yours"
"Your name is Courtnie?"
"Sort of"

haha. Finally, I gave up talking to him and went out on the dance floor.

I took a break from dancing and started walking outside to get some fresh air when I spotted that creepy guy sitting on the couch. I sat down next to him and said "Ney you don't really know me do you?" he replied "No, I just think you're cute and heard your friend say your name so I thought I'd give it a try" hahahaha! We talked for a while then I went off again.

He came up to me later in the night and said "My girlfriend just broke up with me so now I can dance with you." Haha We danced and it was cute. He asked for my phone number and I gave him my myspace url because I didn't know him and didn't want to be giving out my number to some weirdo.

At the end of the night I asked him if he wanted to go back to Uxbridge with me and a bunch of friends of mine. He said he was going to go home because he had to drive his friend Greg home.

The next day I got a myspace message and an add from a "Cory Ruxpin". We talked and planned to meet up that Monday.

Monday, May 8, 2006
Me being the lady that I was, showed up 2 hours late for our date, but he still waited. :)

We went to this abandon slaughter house down the street from my moms house. We drank and explored. We sat on a yuckie couch, ran from snakes (I forced him to give me a piggy back ride so he'd get bitten instead of me), fed ants cheap beer, and most importantly, had our very first kiss.

We went back to my moms house and started to .. Um .. Express ourselves but she came home and we had to get ourselves together REALLY fast. We decided to hang out on Wednesday

Wednesday May 10, 2006
Cory met me at my aunts house (where I lived at the time). This whole day was pretty XRated so you probably don't want to hear about it but the point is .. After we did our buisness he said "I NEED you to be my girlfriend, right now." I agreed that this was a must.

Soon he became my baby daddy. Then my husband! :)But he's always been my best friend.

♥

Columbus Ledger-Enquirer
April 28, 2004
NEW JERSEY GIRL KILLED IN ONE-VEHICLE CRASH

A 15-year old New Jersey girl was killed early Sunday morning in a one-vehicle crash in Eufaula, Alabama after apparently running away from a girls home, authorities said. Danielle Dipietro, a resident at the Columbus girls home in Seale, Alabama was pronounced dead at 5:41 a.m. at Lakeview Community Hospital following a 4:45 a.m. accident along North Eufaula Avenue. The cause of death was multiple injuries to the head and chest, Barbour County Coroner Chip Chapman said.
Chapman said Dipietro was a passenger in a vehicle that went out of control in the southbound lanes of North Eufaula Avenue as the two-lane road merged into a single lane. Chapman said the vehicle veered into a median and struck a tree. The incident remains under invesitigation by Eufaula police.

It has been 4 years. It can't be. It still seems like yesterday. I still don't understand why people drink and drive. Like, is it really that important? I seem to be the only person to think its not. Maybe because when I was 14 I felt the worst pain I've ever felt because someone thought "they wernt that drunk" and killed Danielle. Its just so unfair. I'm so glad that ass hole is rotting in prision.

On a late September afternoon I sat on the phone for seemingly hours waiting for the phone call that would change my life forever. On hold "Kiss Me" by Sixpence None the Richer faintly played through static. A nurse interrupted the song by telling me that Dr. Medina would call me back and wanted to speak to me personally. I began to walk inside from the lawn chair I was sitting on, when the phone rang. It was Dr. Medina. He said "I think you know that news that I am about to tell you. What you need to do next is think about what you want to do." He began to recite my options.

I was confused and ecstatic. Wasn't I supposed to be devastated? After all, I was 17. When Cory came home from work I told him the news. He was also confused and ecstatic. It is weird to be told your entire life that teenage pregnancy will bring devastation and heartbreak, and feel the complete opposite when placed in that situation.

.................................

Months Later
I began to feel restless. Everything kept growing and growing .. and didn't stop. A planned CSection was scheduled for April 18, 2007. When I found out I was too small to have a baby naturally I was devastated. I used my time on bed rest to uplift myself and begin to feel not only comfortable but happy about the way God chose for Conner to be born.

.................................

On April 17, 2007 at 5:00am I woke up feeling like I had to go to the bathroom realllllyy bad. (yes, #2) I tried, without luck. The cramping turned into rhythmic cramping. So I did what any girl would do ... I called my best friend. She told me I was probably in labor and I should call my doctor. (duh) I called and they told me to come in when the contractions were 5 min apart. Me being the overachiever that I am decided to go in when they were 3 min apart instead of 5. What was fantastic about this was that by the time this had happened I was in so much pain that I couldn't walk down the stairs and Cory couldn't pick me up because i was so goddamn huge.

Eventually we made it to the hospital. (I think it was around 9 am) They asked me if I wanted an epidural. I said no. I wanted Conner to come out when he was ready. I asked for a spinal block at the time of the surgery instead of an epidural. I wanted to go through my labor naturally.

A CSection birth was scheduled for 3pm.

At 11:45am my pain got really intense. I felt a lot of pressure and began to feel panicked. Trusting my instinct, I called for a nurse. She said I was 10cm dilated and at "pushing stage." I was immediately rushed into the OR. Everything happened so fast that they forgot tell Cory he could come into the OR! He came in shortly after surgery began.

Being that my CSection was considered emergency and I was a high-risk patient due to preterm labor double the amount of staff was required in the OR. The amount of doctors surprisingly made me feel a lot more comfortable with my birth. It also helped that I had the best anesthesiologist in the entire world!

At 12:00 my surgery began. On April 17, 2008 at 12:31 in the afternoon Conner Philippe Champagne was born.

..................................

We brought Conner home earlier then expected due to my hatred of hospitals and eagerness to get well again. This tiny little guy instantly brightened everything.

................................

One year Later ..

Conner Has

Smiled
Laughed
Cried
Rolled Over
Sat Up
Been Sick
Crawled
Walked
Ran
Said Hi, Bye, Mom, Dad, Hey, Peek-A-Boo, Papa, Nana, Tickle, Ham, Ouch, Duck, Ball, and a few others.
Played Games
Thrown Balls
Thrown a Tantrum
Played an Instrument
Danced
Jumped
And made me the happiest I've ever felt in my life.

I have always felt out of place until the moment this little guy came out of my belly and brought meaning to everything I do. It has been one year since that moment and I can't even believe it. Looking back on it, I am happy with my decisions and the way I have chose to raise Conner so far. He is a pretty well rounded and amazing one year old - if I do say so myself. And I am very excited to see what the years to come will bring.

So, Happy Birthday Conner Philippe Champagne.
Ode' To You!

Yesterday was BMan's first birthday!

He woke up and we had a yummy breakfast then played with his toys. We both were tired so we hung out in bed and eventually fell asleep together.

When we woke up we got ready and looking cute then we went to hannafords to pick up some things and order the cake for Saturday.

Then we went to the park in Uxbridge next to TriRiver and had a picnic with Conner's favorite foods. (ham and mandarin oranges)

After our picnic we stopped by the new place and signed some paperwork. (BTW. Were moving to Millville)

Then we went home and make a cake! It was soo funny .. And messy. I am proud of myself though. It was soy free, dairy free, nut free, and gluten free! (Conners not allergic to gluten, I'm just excited how "free" the cake was) It wasn't that bad either. The frosting was grrrosss but the cake was okay. (Don't worry, were going to have a regular cake at Conner's party too!)

Then Conner took a nap while the cake was cooking. I SUN BATHED! Sooo nice! When he woke up we had some of the cake and Conner went nutttsss! He loved it so much!

After that we got Conners one year professional pictues done. He looked so cute. Then we came home and Conner got ready for bed and crashed for the night. And I did extentions. Woooo.

Yay! Moving May 1 and Conners 1 now! Wooo hooo!

When I got home from Jersey, Cory was in Attleboro and Conner had gone with my mom to swimming lessons.

I put my bags down in the kitchen and walked into the livingroom. In the livingroom there were tons of balloons!!! On top of the 200ish balloons there was a note from Cory. The note, accompanied by a steak knife explained that I needed to pop the ballons to find a hidden suprise.

I popped them all and ..... nothing. So I serched through the poped balloons and stumbled across the most beautiful diamond necklace I've ever seen in my life!!!! THE END.

... He's so good to me.

I'm leaving for Jersey today. Obviously to be with my BESTIE!

As you may recal Fatima talking about something that's going to happen during the new year of 2008 that's going to change Corys life forever. So Cory and I found his biological mom. We've been talking to her for there past few weeks. Other then that Corys going back to school and were moving. So one of those things has to be "the life changer." Anywayyyy, when we were talking to corys mom she said she has 7 brothers and sisters, including 2 sets of twins. A few of her siblings also have twins. Her mom was a twin. So I'm guess Miss. Fatima's prediction of me having twins just might be true.

So, we will definitly be going to the Jersey shore and seeing Fatima. I need to know moooooore!

Ill keep ya updated. Off to Jersey in 8 hours! I can't wait!!!

Today I felt a lot better then I have in the past few weeks. I woke up feeling sick, same old same old. Conner and I took a nap together around 930 and when we woke up at 12 I felt amazing! I cleaned and vaccumed the entire house. I finally got a chance to go through these bags of Conner's shoes I've had sitting around forever. There was about 100 pairs of shoes. It was rediculous. I weeded out the small ones and the uglies. Now there's like 20. I love it.

I bought a pack n play for Jackson today. Since our condo has 2 bedrooms upstairs including the master and one downstairs I thought a crib was kind of dumb. Afterall, he only naps at my house and instead of making him sleep downstairs I can just set up the pack n play in Cory and my room.

Forrest is back for tonight from his road trip of sorts so he called and asked to hang out. Halfway here he got sick, which was a bummer.

When I found out Forrest wasn't coming I started making Fajitas and sent Cory out to get sour cream because I said I "forgot" it. I put Conner down early then set up candles everywhere and made the kitchen all nice and we had a romantic dinner. I love Cory so much. Seriously, if I didn't have him I'd be so lost.

Okay, back to "Hearts in Atlantis". I love Stephen King!
